Born 1948 in South Wimbledon, Martin is self-taught and has
painted all his life, although early inclinations towards art gave
way to a career in military curation.
After service in the Army Air Corps there followed an expatriate
life with the Sultan of Omans' Air Force. These years did allow
him to continue his painting, however, and provided him with
generous inspiration.
Having
turned professional this artist likes to remain flexible
with regard to style and subject, but remains true to the premise
that whatever the painting, it must give it's owner pleasure.
